Unreal Height based material layer blending - UE4 Open World Tutorials #7

This is part 7 of the tutorial series I am doing on how to create an open world game with unreal engine.

In this episode, i'll explain how to blend 2 landscape material layers based on the height. This will be connected with the sloper based layer blending material we already created in the previous episode. As the final result, we would have automatic landscape layer blending based on height and slope.

Following video explains the main process you have to follow and only the things which require additional explanations are explained in the article.

Material Code : Slope based layer blend

Material Function : MF_Layer

Material Function

Material Instance

Output

Those are the points i thought would require further explanations.
